on May Today we commemorate another year of what is known as the International Day for the workers.
more ago a century and a half ago, a May 1, 1886 in the U.S., a struggle for labor rights is transformed into a memorial, when a group of workers organized a great mobilized people to demand and demand of the working day of 8 hours 8 hours rest and 8 hours of leisure, at a time when it was normal for the employer between 12 and 16. Mobilized for this cause in the city of Chicago was arrested on 5 workers of which 4 of them were hanged and one rather kill myself than submit to such injustice. Since then, honors and remembers those who were called the "Martyrs of Chicago" popular example of struggle workers who gave their lives for a just cause sustained by a vast mass of workers.
Today, a century and a half later, things have not changed for workers in this beautiful country called Chile, labor flexibility, low and unequal wages, subcontracting, industrial accidents, and many other business interests and government, make even, will not only pay tribute to the Martyrs of Chicago, if not all workers and today still struggle for a dignified life and e equal.
To all these and who are organized against the injustice of the economic system favored by the business class and government, our encouragement, support and best regards to join in this struggle that still continues.
